POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
oAble to perform all Assistant Project Manager's and Project Engineer's responsibilities (refer to position descriptions)oEstimate and establish budgets and contract price (GMP/Lump Sum)oNegotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchasesoSet up and implement job procedures and techniques to assure timely buyout, shop drawing approval and material deliveryoKeep project on scheduleoDevelop and maintain good relationship with Owner, Architect and SubcontractorsoWork with Superintendent to develop safety plans and to implement safety proceduresoMaintain timely and accurate reporting to managementoManage, train, and supervise project team according to Company policyoOrganize regular meetings for management and subcontractorsoReview contract conditions; ensure compliance with all contract termsoSupervise documentation of all significant project events, e.

, accidents, delays, Change OrdersoDirect preconstruction services and activitiesoNegotiate, prepare and issue subcontract bid packagesoAssist with business development and participate in job interviewsoMaintain quality control (integrity and excellence of completed project)oSupport estimating staff (bid item specialist)oAvoid or mitigate claims and conflictoComplete all job close-out proceduresoConduct warranty follow-up (1-year warranty walks)oComplete project with full or enhanced feeoComplete other responsibilities as assignedMINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
oEngineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experienceoField construction management experience (5-8 years, including supervisory skills)oLeadership abilityoProblem-solving ability and strong sense of urgencyoOrganizational and communication skillsoDrafting and computer skillsoFundamental knowledge of contract law and project accountingoThorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating)SUMMARY OF
