Senior Embedded Software Engineer

The Engineering Team at Mark VII is searching for a candidate to bring their strong C programming skills and Controls background to help us develop both existing programs and new product innovations.
As an embedded systems developer, you will be the primary designer, architect, and coder for all software issues and new feature implementations for our North American product line.
You will coordinate with the local engineering group and international software team to develop and maintain a single-source software platform for our Next Generation carwash equipment.
Essential Functions Design, architect, code, implement, and test bug fixes and new software features Work with an international team of Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineers Analyze user requirements and control systems Analyze, define, and develop software test procedures Research, design, and write Controls software for automated commercial equipment Develop and or modify existing programs by analyzing and identifying potential improvements Create technical specifications and write operations documentation Provide technical support by responding to questions, making suggestions, and analyzing equipment Other duties assigned by management Technical Competence Requirements Strong C programming skills are a must Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) Deep understanding of Microcontroller Hardware Extensive knowledge of embedded programming down to the hardware level Ability to write technical and end user documentation Solid software design and debugging skills Technical Competence good to have RLL programming 508a Panel Shop experience National Electrical Code (NEC) and UL/ETL knowledge Electrical Panel Layout Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field 6
years of engineering experience as a Software or Embedded Systems Engineer in a hands-on environment Equivalent combination of advanced education and experience may be considered Communication/Language Skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must Ability to generate, read, and comprehend technical documents and thorough comments Knowledge of the German language a plus All Mark VII Equipment employees and stakeholders must have uncompromising integrity and ethical standards.
