CAP Workshop Facilitator

To assist in the facilitation of assault prevention education workshops at local preschool, elementary, middle and high schools across the Front Range of Colorado.
Time Commitment:Up to 25 hours per week available; minimum one-year commitment

Responsibilities:
To co-facilitate childrens workshops in the schools with FRCAP staff.
To portray the philosophy of FRCAP in all interactions with the population served.
To be a professional representative of FRCAP.
Participate in classroom role-plays and program facilitation.
Provide support to children who may disclose abuse.
Keep accurate records as required.
Complete other duties as assigned; attend functions, fundraisers and/or meetings.
Qualifications:
Educational background/professional experience in related field required.
Successful completion of a criminal background check.
Desire and ability to work with children regardless of ethnicity or age.
Active and attentive listening, empathy, non-judgmental attitude.
Comfortable with public speaking and working in a classroom environment.
Knowledge of issues pertaining to child assault and prevention.
Knowledge of reporting child abuse and specific reporting laws in Colorado.
Professional demeanor and ability to represent the agency as an advocate for children.
Bi-lingual speaker a bonus but not required.
Successful interview with director.
Completion of a five day National Facilitator Training.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
