POSITION
Summary:

Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) techniques to provide advanced analyses, mapping, and data validation of midstream assets. Recommends appropriate strategies and data workflows to midstream customers. Works closely with IT to develop efficient processes for data validation, data collection and data flow improvements. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Performs advanced data management tasks and acts a GIS Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Responsible for assisting in the development of GIS related standards and procedures
  • Accountable for GIS data entry and quality
  • Leads internal teams to manage GIS / spatial related projects
  • Responsible for filing and responding to external data requests
  • Assists with annual Spill Impact Analyses (SIA) Program
  • Interfaces with midstream customers
  • Represents GIS during company emergency response drills
  • Incorporate GIS data from various sources and in various formats into the GIS system
  • Assists in developing, implementing, and managing processes to perform routine data analysis and generate reports
  • Provide GIS related technical expertise and training to the business
  • Oversees field data collection

EDUCATION AND
Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years relevant GIS experience in the Midstream industry
  • Minimum education requirement:
    College Degree in GIS is required
  • Advanced understanding of ESRI GIS software (ArcDesktop 10 or higher, ArcPro)
  • Advanced experience in mobile GIS solutions (ArcExplorer, Surev123, Good Earth, etc.)
  • Advanced understanding of ESRI extensions (Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, etc.)
  • Advanced understanding of web-based GIS software (ArcGIS Online, Portal, Geocortex)
  • Experience in APDM is preferred
